This 47 year old got lasik for his -1.75 and now needs readers! Also slight overcorrection!
Yeah, that's about where I am too at 3 months, give or take an eighth of a
diopter. I'm essentially at +0.625 each eye, slight astig, corrected
from -1.75 each. You probably have a better chance at regression given your
original Rx.
The fact of the matter is that the technology still isn't exact, so you will
get variations in the final result. I'm more than a little put off that what
appears to be my end refractive result is so far from plano, but I can see
really well at distance (I'm 47 BTW, so you still have a few years left).
One issue is that I seem to have 'reverse monovision', in that only one eye
bothers to focus at distance, the other is happy to maintain it's
blurriness.
And of course I am a LASIK success as I can still (for the time being) focus
down to Snellen distance and pump out a couple of 20/20 results.
Am I happy..... Well, I now have a pair of readers that follow me
everywhere, but I'm happy in that I don't have any significant side effects.
I would have considered +-0.25D range to be a success.
Would I do it again if I had the choice? The jury is still out.
