I know a lot of people with perfect vision!

I have always had perfect vision. Could see the 20/10 letters clearly when I was younger. After excessive amounts of stress and incorrect vision habits though, my vision deteriorated, but now it is improving and the last week or so, I have had no trouble seeing 20/10 again! My left eye is still at about 20/40 - 20/50 (used to be 20/70 before I started vision improvement) but I hope I will be able to improve and see better than 20/20 with it as well.

I know a lot of people that have perfect vision. My mom and my dad are 56 and 66 years old and they can see 20/20 clearly. They can even make out most of the 20/15 line!
Most of my friends also have perfect vision. Personally, I don't consider 20/20 to be perfect vision. I think it's average vision. Real perfect vision would be considered 20/10 or better. And yes, I think the theoretical limit of human vision is 20/5, though even to me and most of my friends, people who have amazing vision, the 20/6 line is just impossible to see.

So, in conclusion, 20/20 is not quite "perfect" vision. It's just what most people should definitly be able to see. Granted, most people today are probably closer to 20/25 than 20/20. This is mainly due to the fact that they have horrible vision habits and they just don't know how to use their eyes.

I only know one guy that may be 20/6 he says he can clearly see the 20/10 line from about 28 feet and can still make it out at 33-35 feet. 28 feet is 20/7 and 33 feet is 20/6 if I ever visit him, of course ill test him on my new snellen chart I printed(you showed me it!) thanks man, that chart goes down to 20/4 which is just insane! Maybe I should buy a pet hawk and teach it to read LOL! From 20 feet WITH glasses the bottom third of the chart is totally *invisable* the 20/13 line is the smallest I can still make out faint dots. Theres 16 lines on my new chart, the last 5(10, 8, 6, 5, 4) lines are invisable! It looks like a blank piece of paper!

For you, 20/20 may not be perfect vision but for us myopes and those who cant or can barely see 20/20 they indeed consider it perfect vision. I dont blame you, you know what 20/10 is like, we dont emoticon we always dream of hitting 20/20! Heck I am 20/300 after waking up and palming and thats on a clear flash too! I would be thrilled to improve to 20/100 or even 20/200 and constantly see those lines

Well, if 20/20 is perfect vision, what would 20/10 be? Ub3r 1337 vision? emoticon

Actually, after all, I think that 20/20 really is perfect vision. But in order for it to be considered perfect vision, you need to be able to read the letters without any hesitation and all the letters need to be perfectly clear. And if you can do that, there's no doubt that you can also read the 20/15 letters, possibly the 20/13 letters, and you should be able to slightly make out the 20/10 letters.

my experience is different though. outside with best correction I can see the 20/20 line quite easy. All of those letters without hesisation. However as easy as the 20/20 is, the 20/15 is just so tiny! I can kinda make out a few of the letters. The 20/13 I know they are letters but forget reading any! I guess it all boils down to the person. Perfect vision is what the person considers it to be. Everything looks just amazing when I see 20/20 and its hard to imagine unless youve been there. What difference do you see at 20/13 or 20/10 vs. 20/20?

I could see the 20/10 and still can. I'm not as good as I was when I was younger but I still can read most of the letters.

You sure are lucky! I get 20/30 with glasses, I can see 1/3 to 1/2 of the 20/25 line but its tiny so I kinda feel like im guessing between a D, O, C, G or something. 20/30 is the smallest really that I can read them all accurately.
