-2 diopters of myopia is best to keep you out of readers!

I am -4 and I can still see some things, but not everything. -2 is considered mild myopia meaning your vision is not bad. It translates closer to 20/70 than 20/100, good enough to go without glasses much of the time. He used to be -8.5 so going down to -2 very greatly reduced his dependancy on glasses and improved his vision many, many multiples! I would LOVE to be a -2 and this is comming from a guy whos -4! An enhancement may help him get 20/30 or better distance vision, but if hes 40+ he wont reduce his dependancy on glasses, but just trade up for reading glasses! At -2, its keeping him out of reading glasses. I do NOT want to be plano as reading glasses arent my idea and I am so used to seeing well from near, I dont want to give that gift up!

That is absolutely NOT true! At -2, you will see clearly from half meter but things never get much of a blur because -2 is considered MILD myopia!
Many of my friends who are -2 go without glasses most of the time.

Give it 90 days. How old are you? If your near 40 or older, you will not be happy if you decide to get an enhancement. I am only 24 but I have some presbyopia and I know what its like. I felt so helpless when I put in my contacts as I had to now depend on reading glasses for almost everything I did! I stick to glasses and just take them off when I need to read something! I dont need -4 diopters, -2 is enough but its not worth me getting lasik(and its risks) to go from -4 to -2.

Not sure, but high myopes often regress anyway. Theres always enhancement, but again read what I said and think long and hard about it first. I consider -2 a blessing, its the best balance between not needing reading glasses and yet not seeing much of a blur in the distance. -4 also doesnt need reading glasses but distance is too blurry. -1 is good for intermediate but needs reading glasses for near.
